Three shades of purple!

I definitely haven’t been shy about my love of purple lip colours this season, so I thought I would share with you the purples that have made it into my top three favourites!

Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick – No 170 Night Kiss – £6.99

This is the first lipstick in the picture above. It is the darkest shade out of my favourite three, but it has a slight sheen on the finish, which makes it a little more wearable for me. The pigmentation and pay-off is amazing and it definitely stays put a lot longer than the other two!

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick – No 12 – £26.00

Out of the lipsticks shown here (and probably most that I own), this is definitely the creamiest formula. It feels heavenly on the lips and is not drying in the slightest. Even with the creamy texture, the pay off is still great and it does stay put for quite a while (with the help of a liner). I would highly recommend, even with the price tag! The dark shade of purple is perfect for this time of year also.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lip Colour – Plum Plum Girl – £8.99

This is a little different from the other two, as it comes in the form of a lip applicator, rather than a standard lipstick. Although its packaging is more like a gloss, the product itself is extremely pigmented and when left to dry, it can leave an amazing result. The only downside of this product is that you do have to be patient.  The consistency of the product itself is more of a tint/liquid, and therefore once applied, you have to leave the colour set. I like to leave it dry, and then apply another coat on top for the best colour pay-off. Its consistency does mean that it can ‘bleed’ and isn’t easy to apply; so it is definitely not one you can slip in your handbag and re-apply on the go without a mirror! But with all that said, it is still an amazing product.
