OK so first I need to apologise for my complete lack of posts….A LOT has happened in the past couple of months. Obviously Christmas has come and gone and along with that we have also moved house (which needs a lot of renovation!) BUT for those of you who don’t know, I do also have a a Youtube Channel, where I post more often. My channel name is Lianneelizabethxo (easy to remember!)
Goals for 2017
I know a lot of people hate New Year’s Resolutions, but I tend to love them. I don’t think there is anything wrong in wanting to better yourself or set yourself goals…and what better time to do that than the beginning of the year?! I have tried to be realistic this year with mine. So here we go!
Obviously, with just moving into a house which needs a lot of renovating, one of my biggest resolutions is to get the majority of the decorating and renovating done! We have ordered a new kitchen and bathroom as well as a new boiler, all to be fitted early this year. I can’t wait to do ‘before and after’ shots and a lot more house related posts!
GIVE LESS F***S! WORRY LESS
This is probably my biggest goal this year. Since 2015, anxiety has played a huge part in my everyday life, and living with a General Anxiety Disorder is not fun. One of my biggest goals this year is to get off the tablets which I am currently on to help my anxiety and seek alternative remedies. This is going to be a case of trying out lots of different things and see what works for me! I have also started a personal journal, just for me, so that I can keep track of how I am feeling and reflect on my thoughts day to day.
One of my main aims this year is to look after my skin more. I look after my facial skin pretty well, but tend to neglect the rest of my body. So that means back to body brushing, exfoliating and moisturising…and actually keeping it up this time!
I also want to drink more water…which is a constant battle for me!
As you all know I love the gym, but this year is going to be all about tracking, monitoring and progressing. I am going to step up my fitness this year and start to measure my progress more to take it to the next level. I am starting a new plan (which I will talk about more in a later post), and the plan encourages me to keep track of all my PB’s, which I will be doing.
Another one to add to this for me is to drink less alcohol! I do tend to socialise a lot, and with socialising comes a lot of alcohol fuelled evenings! I am not saying it won’t be involved in my 2017, but I want to reduce it just for my general health and also my waist line!
SPEND LESS TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND MORE TIME IN THE ‘REAL’ WORLD!
It feels really ironic saying this from a blog post, but by social media, I mean I want to spend less time browsing through my news feed constantly on Facebook and Instagram. I want to get out more, explore more with my husband and just generally enjoy more of life outside of a computer screen!
